Conquering a Major Crises

Many Christians will go through some very tough times

• Not because God is _________ them
• Not because God is angry at them
• Not because there is no _____
• But because this world is not a perfect place. . .And ____ things do happen to good people

Many times Christians are guilty of falling into a false theology that nothing _____ will happen to them because they are Christians…

As a result, they are unprepared for a major crises when it comes…

• Then they are so thrown they lose ________ in God
• Or they are simply defeated by the crises because they are not prepared to deal with it

1. Num. 13:1-2; 27-33  Understand life can and will present major crises

• There were multitudes of geographic challenges

• Moses stopped everything to deal with his sin of not circumcising his sons and was allowed to live

• Saul denied his sin and it cost him everything—even his life

3. Josh. 1:2  Joshua given the same command as Moses—go take this land

• But let’s be aware that we are going to have to face some tough challenges in our lives

• Raising kids
• Relationships
• Health
• Disappointments
• Let’s realize if we develop ourselves spiritually now it will be much easier to handle these crises when they come
• Just because we are going to have crises does not mean we have to be defeated…We can ____ at all of these things—we just need to have the right strategy!
• We can get God involved in all these things and handle it the right way
